Rest and enjoy, in the middle of the alps of the grisons

The SAC Silvretta hut is owned by the Swiss Alpine Club (SAC), Section St. Gallen. The hut is located above Klosters on 2’341 m.a.s.l., on the southwestern foot of the Silvretta Glacier. In summer 2011 the hut was renovated. This renovation not only improved the comfort for the hut crew but also for our guests. Enjoy a refreshing drink or a delicious meat platter on our new sun terrace. The hut is well-known for its cuisine, which offers further culinary experiences thanks to its new building. Also all day guests who visit us from Klosters are always welcome.

Rooms

In the main building the hut offers 57 beds in cosy 4- to 20-bed-dormitories. There is also a 6-bed family room available. Those who prefer a smaller room can book our 4-bed room against a surcharge of CHF 10.- per person. The beds are equipped with a duvet but you have to bring your own silk or cotton sleeping bag as we do not change the duvets every day. Sanitary facilities are inside the hut and offer an odourless water-flush toilet as well as enough space for washing. A reservation is necessary as the number of beds is limited:

Winter hut

The winter hut offers 12 beds. The mattresses are covered with a fitted sheet, pillows are covered with a cover and wool blankets are folded. However, you have to bring your own silk or cotton sleeping bag. The winter hut offers you shelter and accommodation in the off-season when the hut is not warded. A small cooking facility is available and contains firewood as well as emergency food supplies. This offer is not free of charge. Hello Kids

You will not be bored at the Silvretta hut. There is a wide variety of games in the cupboard in the hall. If you are lucky, you can observe marmots or ibexes directly in front of the hut.

Seminar room

Our big dining room can be used as a seminar room. A permanently installed projection wall and beamer can be used for seminars, film presentations or club events. So why not a special general assembly, training course or social event at the Silvretta hut?

Slipper

Entering the Silvretta hut is only allowed with slippers - so we can keep the hut in perfect condition for many years to come. We are happy to provide you with slippers during your stay. You will find these right by the entrance in the shoe room. Various sizes are available; and there is also a selection of slippers for our younger guests.

Dogs

Unfortunately, we do not have suitable premises to accommodate dogs. Therefore, we can receive dogs only during the day on the terrace.
